Jaclyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Much of her work has been devoted towards crisis intervention and prevention, specifically within trauma and sexual violence. Her passion is working with trauma survivors and advocating for a culture that causes less harm. Prior to UCLA, Jaclyn has spent her time working in mental health facilities, youth shelters, sexual assault and domestic violence agencies. Jaclyn has created and facilitated trauma-focused trainings and workshops on sexual violence, supporting survivors, and preventing violence with an intersectional lens. She believes that creative arts can be an important tool when working though healing and tries to incorporate creativity with her work with clients. She is dedicated to survivor empowerment, social justice, and dismantling all forms of oppression and violence.

In her spare time, Jaclyn enjoys cuddling with her dog, playing and listening to music, spending time in nature, and taking spontaneous trips wherever and whenever she can. With her constant love for exploration, Jaclyn likes to find small gems in every city she travels to or lives in.
