Rachel Alexander (she/her) is a Junior at UCLA double majoring in Gender Studies and Sociology. She is the co-founder and co-director of the Women’s Empowerment Coalition, a new UCLA organization designed to educate, empower, amplify, and support women. She continues work as the first Social Justice intern at Temple Israel of Boston, leading community organizing efforts focused on immigrant justice and accessibility. A current member of the Hillel at UCLA Student Board, Rachel served last year as Vice President of Communications and as a Student Representative on Hillel’s governing Board of Directors. She is passionate about women’s rights, survivor justice, racial equity, and social change. Rachel hopes to pursue a creative career, combining art with activism focused on gender equality.
