CARE Peer Educator Program
CARE Peer Educators are UCLA student employees who work to create a campus culture in which all people are free from the threat or experience of sexual violence.

CARE is not currently recruiting for new Peer Educators.
The Peer Educator Program is a paid ($25/hr) internship opportunity open to UCLA undergraduate students interested in preventing sexual violence and harassment on campus. The role includes weekly meetings with CARE staff & other Peer Educators, staffing tabling & workshop requests, and planning community events & engagement centered on SA prevention and survivor wellness.
Requirements
- 10 hours a week
- Attend weekly Peer Educator Team meetings (Friday 11am-12pm)
- Attend weekly 1:1 check-in meeting with supervisors and 1 hour weekly in-person office hour
- Contribute to CARE’s outreach efforts, including attendance at tabling events, facilitating programs, and engaging with community partner spaces.
- Serve on committees that inform CARE's prevention work
- Assist with CARE social media content, including crafting issue-based social media campaigns surrounding issues related to SVSH
- Prioritize the role responsibilities and find balance with other academic and extracurricular obligations
- Foster an inclusive, compassionate work space with other Peer Educators that is respectful of all identities and interests
CARE Ambassador Program

Graduates of the CARE Certificate training are invited to continue their involvement with CARE through the CARE Ambassador Program—a volunteer opportunity for students who want to stay connected to violence prevention, support a healthy campus community, and gain hands-on experience with CARE’s work.
As a CARE Ambassador, you’ll have opportunities to:
- Stay connected to CARE by joining biweekly Ambassador meetings where we share prevention updates, discuss current issues, and plan upcoming programs and events.
- Support Sexual Assault Awareness Month initiatives, including events such as Denim Day and Take Back the Night.
- Get involved in campus-wide initiatives such as Sex Week and other programs focused on healthy relationships, sexual wellness, consent, and community wellbeing.
- Build relationships with campus and community partners, with opportunities to liaise with organizations such as the Rape Treatment Center, CAPS, RISE, and CORE.
- Put your CARE Certificate knowledge into practice by contributing to prevention education, outreach, programming, and community engagement.
- Explore opportunities with CARE and learn more about what it means to serve as a CARE Peer Educator.
The CARE Ambassador Program is an unpaid volunteer opportunity. There is no required time commitment, and Ambassadors are welcome to participate in ways that fit their interests and availability. Regular attendance at biweekly Ambassador meetings is appreciated so that we can build a connected community and keep everyone informed about upcoming opportunities.
