Joanna has previously worked for a rape crisis center in Pomona, CA for six years. In her previous role she supervised a 24hour hotline and provided crisis intervention and support to survivors through advocacy and in person support at forensic medical exams and court procedures. She trained volunteers to be certified sexual assault counselors/victim advocates. Joanna is committed to supporting and empowering survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Ensuring survivors know their rights/options and make the best informed decision for themselves is her priority. She received her BA in psychology from Cal State San Bernardino and is currently in her last year of law school. In her free time she loves to go to Dodgers games and spend time with her loved ones.
