Mitra Alikhani is a third-year undergraduate student in the School of Nursing. At her prior institution, Mitra was involved in Sexual Assault Peer Advocates and the Sexual Assault Forum for Educating Greeks which facilitated discussions on dismantling systems of power within sororities and fraternities. Mitra is passionate about health equity, and she works with a research team treating infectious diseases in people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles.
In her free time, Mitra enjoys playing for the UCLA club ultimate frisbee team, listening to podcasts (especially ones about relationships and gender dynamics!), reading, and hand embroidering.”
