CARE Confidential Advocate
Rebecca is a confidential advocate who supports survivors through an intersectional and holistic framework by acknowledging how different power structures may affect an individual and by deeply honoring one’s own experiences within those structures. Rebecca believes that healing comes in many forms and loves to incorporate various trauma-informed, joy-centric healing practices while working with a survivor.
Rebecca graduated from UCLA’s Master of Social Welfare program with a concentration in Social and Economic Justice. While completing this program, Rebecca has worked as a Community Advocate with Los Angeles Center for Law & Justice, a graduate researcher with UCLA Luskin’s Institute on Inequality and Democracy, and a Social Work Intern with Glendale Unified School District. After completing her program, she was a mental health clinician for youth. Within this role, she created and facilitated support groups for clients impacted by sexual violence and intimate partner violence.
She also received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Women’s Studies from San Diego State University with a minor in Child and Family Development. Rebecca was born and raised in Los Angeles and enjoys going to the park with her cat.
